Privacy Policy.

This policy explains how we collect, hold, use, disclose and protect your personal and credit information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

In this policy, we, us and our means Alisha Perry Finance, a trading name of Alisha Perry Finance Pty Ltd (ABN 60 673 385 905). We are Credit Representative 502031 authorised under Australian Credit Licence 509484 (Buyers Choice Licencing Pty Ltd).

We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy sets out how we manage your personal information and credit-related information, and how you can access it, correct it, or make a complaint.

Personal information is information that identifies you or from which you are reasonably identifiable. The personal information we collect typically includes your name, contact details, and the financial and employment details reasonably necessary to provide credit assistance.

We collect, hold and use your personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and provide credit assistance;
  • assess your objectives, requirements and financial situation;
  • arrange finance and liaise with lenders on your behalf;
  • meet our legal obligations, including under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 and the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006; and
  • send you information about our services, where you have consented.

We usually collect personal information directly from you, by phone, email, our website enquiry form, or in person. We may also collect it from third parties such as lenders, credit reporting bodies, your referrers, and identity verification services. When you use our website we may also collect information through cookies and analytics tools, as described in our Website Terms & Conditions.

We may disclose your personal information to:

  • prospective funders, lenders and lessors, and mortgage or trade insurers;
  • credit reporting bodies;
  • our licensee/aggregator (Buyers Choice Licencing Pty Ltd) and associated businesses;
  • IT and infrastructure providers, including cloud hosting;
  • our agents, contractors and professional advisers, including legal representatives and auditors;
  • other borrowers, guarantors, referees or your employer where relevant to your application;
  • identity verification services; and
  • anyone else you authorise, or where required or permitted by law.

Overseas disclosure. Some of our service providers store or process information overseas. We may disclose your information to recipients located in the United States (including through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and cloud hosting providers). We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

If you do not wish to receive marketing information, you may at any time decline to receive such information by telephoning us on 0401 453 722 or by writing to us at Bunyip, Victoria. If the direct marketing is by email you may also use the unsubscribe function. We will not charge you for giving effect to your request and will take all reasonable steps to meet your request at the earliest possible opportunity.

We take reasonable steps to keep your information accurate and up to date. Please contact us if any of your details change or if you believe the information we hold is inaccurate.

You may request access to the personal and credit information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. We will respond to a request for access within 7 days, and where a correction is required, we will make our decision within 30 days after investigating your request. There is no fee for making a request.

Where it is lawful and practicable, you may deal with us anonymously or using a pseudonym, for example when making a general enquiry. In most cases, however, we will need to identify you in order to provide credit assistance and to meet our legal obligations.

We will not ask you to provide sensitive information (such as health information) unless it is reasonably necessary and permitted by law. Where we do collect sensitive information, we will only do so with your consent.

We take all reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as totally secure.
